MECA Edmonton

MECA Edmonton is a registered Manyu Socio-Cultural and non-for-profit governmental Organization incorporated with a legal status in the province of Alberta, Canada. MECA Edmonton was born in 2014, and in 2015 became a registered legal entity in the city of Edmonton after a tragedy event that befell on one of the sons of Manyu, where some Manyu indigenes with great thoughts, conceptualized that its better to live together in love, peace and harmony.

The aftermath of the tragedy event was a motivational stimulant that humbled the Manyu indigenes in Edmonton to unite and represent both the Manyu community and our local communities within the Edmonton city and its neighboring cities in Alberta province,to promote our community‘s identity and defend its interest, thereby enabling it to become a socio-cultural and economic force in Canada.

With an ever-growing number of MECAns in Edmonton, the accomplishment of this mission becomes very imperative. Our website is therefore assuming an increasing important role as a point of mobilization for new and registered members. It is meant to inform, educate, raise awareness, and solicit support and feedback from our members as a springboard to fostering greater knowledge and involvement in MECA activities.

Moreso, the Manyu people pride themselves in their rich and diversified culture, their history and proud heritage. MECA Edmonton serves as an ambassador of that culture in the Edmonton Metropolitan area and its environs. While we seemingly are dedicated to the improvement of the wealth being of our community, we also want to acknowledge our weaknesses as an association driven with the determination and compassion to extend assistance to the underprivileged brothers and sisters back in Manyu division, to empowering them in socio-economic development efforts
