Timeline of History

The idea of congregating sons and daughters of Manyu descent living in Alberta province precisely, the Edmonton metropolitan area was conceived in 2014 by a few proud, patriotic and visionary Manyu men and women. This initiative emanated from a tragic loss of beloved Manyu sons out of the need to create a support structure to assist bereaved family or other greater issues related to immigrants of Manyu descent in the metropolitan area of Edmonton , and who wished to take up residence in Alberta province.

Since then the association which has been piloted by passionate and faithful Manyu indigenes has grown from strength to strength, and peacefully conducted the first ever successful leadership election to record the first transition of power.

The year 2015 saw MECA Edmonton association legally incorporated and became recognized as a non-profit tax-exempt organization in the province of Alberta, Canada.
